Gadget Review: Nikon Z50, big surpise in a small package

Updated: Jun 8, 2020

Nikon’s entry-level mirrorless camera, the Z50, offers photo enthusiasts and vloggers an affordable but powerful tool.

The 20.4-megapixel Nikon Z50 boasts of 4K video and a top continuous shooting speed of 11 frames per second at full resolution. The Nikkor 16-50mm DX kit lens is also razor-sharp.

The Z50 is also ideal for those who want better features and sharper images than those of cellphone cameras but who, at the same time, do not want to carry the burdensome SLR.

Nikon has made uploading from the Z50 to social media platforms like Facebook easier. Thanks to the camera’s fast processor and the easy-to-use Snapbridge phone app, Z50 transfers images quickly to your smartphone. The flippable 3.2” LCD screen also doubles as a selfie screen.

This light and virtually unobtrusive mirrorless Z50 can help us chronicle our personal experiences during this history-changing COVID-19 pandemic.

It would be great to record our surroundings, loved ones, and even ourselves by taking photos and videos—artifacts for generations to come.

The Nikon Z50 with 16-50mm lens costs P 59,900.00 at Camerahaus.
