Missing old Regal movies? Watch them on Facebook

Sometimes we just need to laugh, the way that the late great comedians Dolphy, Panchito, or Rene Requiestas used to make us laugh.

Regal Entertainment, one of the oldest surviving film studios in the Philippines, is streaming some of its movies for free on Facebook.

Here are some of the movies scheduled to be shown on Regal's official Facebook page tomorrow (November 6)

8:00 AM

"Maria Went to Town" (1987)

Starring: Maricel Soriano, William Martinez, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera

12:00 PM

"Woke Up Like This" (2017)

Starring: Vhong Navarro and Lovi Poe

3:00 PM

"Humanda Ka Mayor" (1993)

Starring: Aga Muhlach · Kris Aquino

4:00 PM

"Tiyanaks" (2007)

Starring: Rica Peralejo, Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, and JC De Vera

Aside from movies, Regal also livestreams the web series "Ben x Jim."

This BL (boys love) show stars Teejay Marquez, Jerome Ponce, Sarah Edwards, Kat Galang, Johannes Rissler, and Ron Martin Angeles.

Written and directed by Easy Ferrer, the show is about two childhood friends who found their way into each other's lives during the pandemic.

On YouTube, you can also watch full movies on the Regal Entertainment channel.

Then, on the Regal Entertainment website, you can choose movies to rent digitally from $0.99 to $4.99.

Among the movies that you can rent are Dolphy's "Pulis, Pulis sa Ilalim ng Tulay;" Piolo Pascual's "I Think I'm In Love," and Maricel Soriano's "I Will Survive."

This means that even Filipinos living abroad can catch some of the old Philippine movies that they're missing.
