Over 100 artists will be participating in the 32nd Kulay Sa Tubig invitational watercolor competition and exhibition from October 12-18 at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
Only the most talented and highly skilled watercolorists are invited to participate in the competition established by Gallery Genesis art gallery in 1983.
Five top winners will be selected and five others will be named runners-up, Gallery Genesis said.
Exhibited pieces will be available for sale and 75% of the proceeds will be donated to medical frontliners at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP PGH) in Manila.
Gallery Genesis said the proceeds will be used "to purchase face masks, personal protection equipment, and other essential medical items for the frontliners of UP PGH."
"Our medical frontliners have been suffering from unending overwork and very insufficient medical supplies which put them at high risk for contracting this deadly disease," the art gallery said on its website.
"This pandemic has also caused a continuing loss of jobs and loss of lives without an early end in sight. Thus, we would like to help, in our own special way, our beloved front liners who risk their lives daily so others like us may live and survive the pandemic," it added.

Gallery Genesis said those who want to know how else you can donate can send them an email via info@gallerygenesis.com
Meanwhile, for those who want to view the exhibit at the ground floor of the Mega Fashion Hall of SM Megamall, Gallery Genesis issued a reminder that safety measures will be strictly implemented.
